App Connect Documentation

App Connect is RingCentral's open framework for embedding a full RingEX phone directly into your CRM — and automatically logging every call, text, and voicemail against the right contact record without any manual entry.

It runs as a browser extension for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Admins deploy and configure it once; end users get a fully-featured CTI dialer inside whatever platform they already work in.


Works across all your RingCentral devices

One of App Connect's most important — and most frequently asked about — capabilities is that it logs calls made from any RingCentral device, not just from the CTI itself. No matter where your team makes or receives calls, the activity shows up in your CRM.

  • RingCentral desktop app

    Calls made from the RingCentral desktop app are captured and logged automatically.

  • RingCentral mobile app

    Calls from iOS or Android are logged just like any other call — no action required from the user.

  • Desk phones

    Physical desk phones on your RingEX account are fully supported. Every call is logged.

  • App Connect CTI

    Calls placed directly through the embedded CTI dialer in your CRM are logged in real time.
